Bio:
Adam Bambury is a psychotherapist and facilitator working in private practice online and in West Sussex.
His core training was in body (somatic) psychotherapy, which integrates elements of breath, expression, movement and touch with relational, process, parts and developmentally-oriented work. He has subsequently deepened his studies in many areas including embodied relational work, breath work, and pre- and perinatal psychology.
He is a full member of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy (EABP) and helped establish the UK Body Psychotherapy Network after its initial inception. He held a successful private practice in south east London for many years before moving to the south coast in 2025.
In 2023 he completed the IPT’s first two-year Depth Relational Process training in psychedelic therapy and subsequently co-facilitated retreats and delivered talks for IPT before joining as training faculty in 2026.
Adam has spoken on embodiment, therapy, and psychedelics at conferences including Breaking Convention, the EABP International Congress, and the IPT’s annual gathering, and has written for the EABP journal.
He has had a long interest in expanded states of consciousness and their integration into wider life processes. A guiding principle in his work is following and allowing aliveness to emerge into being.
