Embodied Relational & Trauma Therapist

Professional Membership: BACP

Location(s): Hertfordshire & Online

I've been practicing as a psychotherapist since 2005, and have 30 years experience of consistently working through my own issues in a variety of settings, because it is my understanding that as a counsellor I can't go with clients where I haven't been myself. I consider this an essential part of what I can offer as a therapist. I can be a challenging integration therapist but offer a firm container for depth work. I work with individuals, couples and supervisees.

I originally trained psychodynamically before many years of cathartic bodywork including breath work, somatic trauma training, meditation, shamanic practitioner training, EI (enlightenment intensives), Qigong, before starting my mdicine training. I had a spontaneous awakening experience in 2013, which took years to ground and is still being integrated into my broad life map.

I have extensive experience of individual and group therapeutic sessions from both sides, where I have often encountered deep developmental trauma and supported practices of grounding traumatised ego states via somatic awareness and trauma release bodywork, relational systems and parts work, transpersonal explorations and ritual.

Currently my fee is on a sliding scale between £80 and £150. This is to reflect a wide client base with differing resources. I work online from my new home in Lithuania having moved from Wales, and previously St Albans, to my wife and her family. I am an accredited BACP member and closely involved with peer supervision and accountability.
