I am a highly specialised psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience helping people navigate anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder, addiction, burnout, relationship difficulties, existential concerns, and challenges following psychedelic experiences.
My work draws on extensive experience across diverse settings: senior roles in private mental health hospitals, work with survivors of torture at Freedom from Torture, residential addiction treatment, and support for survivors of childhood abuse.
Therapy is always tailored to the individual, integrating evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, mindfulness, schema therapy, compassion-focused therapy, IFS, person-centred and body-based methods. I am also among a small number of UK therapists trained in the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) for complex trauma.
Alongside symptom relief, my work focuses on understanding the “thinking behind the thinking” — the deeper internal narratives that shape emotion, identity, and behaviour. By exploring these patterns collaboratively, therapy can open space for greater freedom, resilience, and self-understanding.
Beyond clinical practice, I have taught at several universities, supervise doctoral students, and work as a lead therapist on government-licensed psychedelic research studies into treatment-resistant depression. Outside psychotherapy, six years working with wolves profoundly shaped my understanding of anxiety, communication, survival, and resilience. My professional fee as a consultant psychotherapist is £125 for psychedelic integration sessions.
